Mr. Lane joined GCG in 1988 as a claims processor, working on the Manville case. He was
promoted to Director of the company's Quality Assurance Division in 1998, and was later
promoted to Assistant Vice President of this division in 2002. In April 2004, Mr. Lane was
appointed Vice President, Quality Assurance. His wide-ranging responsibilities include:
conferring with the company's Operations and Systems Development personnel on major
systems updates and enhancements, developing quality controls and working closely with
senior management at the proposal stages of new cases, working extensively with Operations
and Programming to ensure accurate and cost-effective claims administration, and developing
project strategies and procedures at the proposal stage, while working closely with other
company officers.
Prior to joining GCG, Mr. Lane worked as a Benefits Approver for Equitable Life, processing major medical insurance claims.
Mr. Lane graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Communications. He is an active member of the United States Golf Association, and has completed courses in Bottom Line Technology and SQL.
